On October 16, hobby stores around the world, with the help of numerous volunteers, will open up their gaming tables in recognition of Worldwide D&D Game Day. This event is the culmination of Wizards' year-long celebration of the 30th anniversary of Dungeons & Dragons. Game Day is designed to appeal to long-time D&D fans as well as to those completely new to gaming. The festivities will include free giveaways to store visitors and two special gaming adventures, one especially designed to introduce the basic concepts of roleplaying to D&D newcomers.
