This Month in D&D: June 1976

June 1976 -- the premier issue of Dragon magazine launches! This first issue presents a conversation with Fritz Leiber, of Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser fame, as well as languages in D&D, and a first look at the bulette (a.k.a. the landshark); in its initial description, the bulette is introduced: "Thought to be extinct until just recently, this horrifying apparition was cross-bred from armadillo and snapping turtle stock. It has the vicious disposition of the turtle, with the speed and digging ability of the armadillo."
